In Susegana, in the landscape of the UNESCO Prosecco Hills, this enchanting home stands out

In this lush hillside setting, an old farmhouse that once belonged to the estate of the Collalto Counts has been restored and transformed into a contemporary private residence. Underpinning the project is a line of thought that comes before form and materials: understanding how the inhabitants wished to live in and perceive the spaces. Andrea Impiombato Andreani oversaw the identity of the house and the art direction of the interiors, interpreting the family's needs, habits and sensibilities. Every choice was guided by the search for wellbeing, balance and connection with nature, creating a harmonious dialogue between memory and the present day. The project is founded on a principle of continuity. The new volumes sit discreetly within the setting, avoiding contrasts and favouring a balanced relationship with the surrounding environment. The tones of the façades echo the colours of the area, while the openings direct the eye towards the greenery and encourage natural light to enter. Particular attention was also paid to reusing the existing materials: timber elements, floors and doors from the original building have been reinterpreted and reinserted into the new project, helping to keep the bond with the building's history alive. Past and present thus coexist in a spontaneous balance, in a house that does not impose its presence, but listens.
