Andrea Impiombato Andreani on the TEDxConegliano 2026 stage

27/6/2026

JUNE 2026 | TEDxConegliano 2026: seemingly the same, in reality different

Some things look the same, until we look more closely.

From this idea comes TEDxConegliano 2026, an edition devoted to the theme of the Palindrome: not just a word that can be read in both directions, but a different way of looking at reality. An invitation to change perspective, to discover that what appears identical can take on new, deeper and unexpected meanings.

The theme “Seemingly the same, in reality different” guided the whole experience of the event, and also became a generative visual system: an X that is always recognisable, yet never truly identical to itself. Each variant grows out of personal choices, becoming a unique expression of whoever generates it.

TEDxConegliano 2026 was therefore a chance to reflect on what changes when we change our point of view. On differences that are not always immediately visible. On what remains invisible, but which often determines how we live, feel and interpret the world.

It was in this context that Andrea Impiombato Andreani gave his talk, devoted to the relationship between architecture, emotions and wellbeing.

Through neuroarchitecture, Andrea led the audience to discover how a space is not merely something to look at, but something to perceive with the body, the mind and the emotions. Light, form, proportion and perception can influence the way we feel, our sense of serenity, belonging and openness towards what surrounds us.

As he said in his talk:

What really matters, for each of us,
often belongs to the invisible.
Emotions.
Dreams.
Serenity.
The sense of belonging.

If a space can change
the way a person feels,
then it can also change
the way that person
looks at themselves.

And just like a tree in colour,
a space too can astonish,
welcome and open itself to the light.

Because in the end
we are the space we inhabit.
And it is only waiting to be us.
