True satisfaction lies in the relationships you build over time.

Description

A historic jeweller's in Conegliano, with a strong personality but diametrically opposed characters: Marzia has a rock'n'roll spirit, while Daniela is far more “zen”. The design challenge was not to give in to the temptation of seeking a compromise between the two sisters' opposing personalities, but rather to make the space an expression of both. Particular attention is paid to how the shop interacts with the city, which is why wallpaper was placed outside the jeweller's as well, creating an invitation to come in and an urban landmark. The choice of expressive materials serves to reinforce the concept: hand-forged steel for the counter cladding, solid oak for worktops and frames, wallpapers “customised” with the marks tattooed on the sisters' bodies — these papers are “tied” to one another by a hand-painted decoration symbolising the bond between the owners; the blue sky represents the memory of their founding father, as does the period jeweller's table. The lighting is conceived to support the specific function and to follow the concept: lighting with a low colour temperature, narrow beams and soft colouring recalling the world of the night in Marzia's area; a higher colour temperature, very wide optics and diffused lighting simulating sunlight for Daniela's spaces; and in the remaining areas, dynamic lights to show whichever type of product is on display to best advantage in every situation.
