Where Nature Becomes Bread

Our work concerned the spaces of a new artisan bakery workshop and its adjoining shop. The concept is entirely geared towards showcasing the product made and displayed here, placing the emphasis on the natural ingredients and the production process behind them. For this reason the colour palette is based on the colours of wheat: the beige of the flooring, wallpaper with a flowering field that completely envelops customers in the buying experience, the warm tones of walls and ceiling and of the purpose-designed furnishings.

In this retail sector it is also essential to focus customers' attention on the product through specific design and lighting choices: warm light was chosen as the element that shows the breads on display to best advantage, while the contemporary insert housing the sales area is in natural wood, to underline the authenticity of the product.
